Top Musical Instrument Manufacturer Teams With Premier Concert Venue to Create The Yamaha Music Experience
Yamaha Corporation of America has entered into a partnership with the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, Calif. As the theater’s Exclusive Musical Instruments Partner, Yamaha has created a booth featuring the Yamaha Music Experience, which offers concertgoers a chance to bang on electronic drums, play guitar and keyboards and learn about home audio products from Yamaha Electronics Corporation.
“Yamaha has always looked to turn passive music listeners into active music makers and this is a great way to show people that playing an instrument is fun,” said Joseph Zuniga, Art Director at Yamaha’s Customer Experience Group. “It’s a natural fit because the act of attending a concert is a vote of support, of sorts, for music.”
A live entertainment venue that holds 16,085 people, the amphitheater attracts top national acts. This summer, the venue hosts Aerosmith, The Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Green Day, Tom Petty and Rush.
Yamaha will also be included in promotional extensions, including text-to-win contests, ticket and music giveaways, along with branding exposure on the amphitheater’s ConcertVision screens. Visitors are encouraged to enter “Win the World of Yamaha” via SMS text or by visiting http://www.yamaha.com/verizon for a chance to win ,500 worth of Yamaha gear.
