I picked up a full size ibanez brand new from a descent music store for $100 about 2 years ago. steel string with soft case and electronic tuner. I was pretty surprised by how good it was. it was a beginner pack, but its sound was decent. I wanted it for a campfire guitar that I wouldn’t be worried if it got ruined in the rain while camping.

    I think its this one:

    Ibanez JamPack IJV100S Acoustic Guitar

the sticker in the back says V50MJP-NT

Got to a music store and ask the people that work there, they should know. I have a Johnson for my first acoustic and it was pretty cheap and sounds awesome. Just got with whatever fits you good.

Epiphone is the cheaper line associated with Gibson. You may want to check them out also. My first guitar came from a Grant’s Dept. Store for $40. Many guitar players were impressed with the way it sounds. Just look for a well made guitar with good sounding tones in your price range to start. If you really enjoy it and are getting better all the time, then invest in a better one then.
