Southampton gets ready to rock on a hot Summers night in March

South Coast based Summers are inviting the audience to become part of a special music video during an evening of great classic rock, including numbers from their debut album, as the event is filmed by national TV and radio production crews. The Southampton gig will form part of their musical history, recorded to chart the rapid musical success story being closely followed by the music media.

Calling all rock lovers who want to participate in a steaming hot “Summers” night, an exclusive filmed and recorded event with bad boys rock band Summers, tipped as the next great British rock legends, playing at The Brook in Southampton on 14 March.

Summers’ adrenaline-fuelled rock songs have seen capacity venues along the South Coast while rock fans across the UK have been spreading the word about their hard-hitting, no compromise rock and roll. Former music critic of Sounds Magazine and now journalist for The People newspaper, Gary Bushell says: “You will believe Classic Rock is alive and well, you will sing the songs all the way home….Summers’ debut album could well have as many hit singles as Def Leppard’s Hysteria.”

On offer to local and regional media is the opportunity to give away tickets and exclusive backstage passes as competition prizes.

Summers formed in 2007 by brothers Crash and Ricky Summers, joined later by experienced drummer Andy Pope and talented guitarists Jason Sepala and Sam Hickling. Producer Clyde Ward who has worked with the likes of Eric Clapton, Lenny Kravitz and Sting has been directing the band towards what everyone is predicting to be a rocking future, encouraging strong anthemic songs and a highly professional stage show.

Summers’ indelible signature sound bridges the gap between the iconic stadium rock legends of old and the current new wave of music, taking a 1980’s born genre and firmly stamping their own sound all over it. Their catchy lyrics and memorable melodies are intelligently crafted with twin guitar led riffs.
