Return of Simple’s music is cultivated by an expansive demographic. The band’s pop-friendly sound remains fashionably smart – yet honest and true to their Ben Folds influence. Return of Simple is made up of three conservatory-trained musicians led by pianist and singer Rob Kovacs. Kovacs is the first person to ever perform both parts of Steve Reich’s “Piano Phase”, on two different pianos, simultaneously. In addition, American Greetings has utilized his music for several of their E-Cards.
The piano-driven rock band has played at some of New York’s most notable venues, acquiring a reputation for promoting musical seduction and lyrical indulgence. Return of Simple’s acoustic cover of Daft Punk’s “Harder Better Faster Stronger” has received 85,000+ views on YouTube. These numbers speak to the band’s ever-growing popularity.
Presently, Return of Simple is embarking on a multi-media campaign. The re-introduction of their debut disc, Saffron, is going to be a concentrated effort reaching out to the most notable music reviewers in the world.
