Edgewater, NJ-based entertainment marketing company helps talented siblings book acting roles in major television shows and movies.
Siblings Sean, 9, and Brigid, 10, first started working with Industry Model & Talent Studios three years ago, after talent scouts in the Paramus Park Mall in Paramus, NJ approached them.
“People have always told me that I should get them in modeling or TV. When we were approached, I thought: we should have done this a long time ago,” says Sheila, Sean and Brigid’s mother.
“Industry Model & Talent has given us the opportunity to strive for so much,” says Sheila. “We’ve done so much with Industry that we would have never done. Industry gives us time to be together, to be a family. It gives us time to be one on one.”
New experiences include things they see and learn during their journey to the set, on the set, and off the set. Working has increased their curiosity and awareness.
Since Sean and Brigid have started booking jobs, they have had the opportunity to fly in a hot air balloon, go skiing, visit the top of the Empire State Building, and even take a trip to the Statue of Liberty.
“School needs to be at the top of their list, but the kids try to work on their talents when they’re not working,” says Sheila.
When she’s not maintaining her status as a star student, Brigid participates in figure skating. She is also pursuing music lessons in clarinet and guitar. Sean practices karate and plays soccer.
Brigid was able to utilize her figure skating skills while ice skating in Bryant Park for an Old Navy commercial. Sean utilized his karate skills in a recent episode of Law and Order. Both children appeared in an exercise video called “Core for Kids”.
Brigid has tap-danced with Edie Falco (“Nurse Jackie”), she met Ted Danson on the set of “Damages”, and she even got autographs from Falco and Michael Douglas (“Solitary Men”).
“It was really great to hear the director say to Sean and Brigid how they were happy with their performance. That’s more than everything that a mother can hear,” says Sheila. “It’s very exciting, and we really do enjoy it. We always look forward to our next project with Industry Model & Talent. It’s more like a dream come true.”
